Started in 2007, the igloobest series selects the best architecture projects up to the present day, carried out by acknowledged Romanian architects. The books are bilingual and accessible to an expanded audience. Their purpose is to show that Romania produces quality architecture, worthy of acknowledgment on a larger scale.

Hotels from Romania

Following in a direction already consecrated by the previous apparitions, "Houses from Romania 1&2", "Interiors from Romania" and "offices from Romania", the volume offers a selection of the most interesting Romanian hotel design projects. The rapid development of the Romanian hotel industry and its alignment to European and international standards favoured the apparition - besides the dull mass of so-called "tourist architecture" - of innovative projects of hotel architecture and interior design, with a strong stylistic identity. Keeping up with the initiative of promoting quality architecture, igloomedia has selected 13 such hotels, whose design bears the signature of successful architects and designers. Although, at first sight, the selection may seem eclectic, all the featured projects - be they small boutique hotels or part of prestigious international hotel chains - are individualized through originality and a coherent, harmonious stylistic discourse, as well as through tasteful design and the great care shown for the quality of living.
